Therapy for New and Expectant Parents
For many, the journey into parenthood is a time filled with unexpected anxiety, grief, and overwhelm. In fact, one in five new parents experiences a perinatal mood or anxiety disorder. As a Certified Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) provider, I have specialized training in providing trauma-informed care to help you manage your symptoms and parent with more confidence. I support the bodily autonomy, reproductive rights, and reproductive decisions of all child-bearing people.
Common Reasons for Seeking Support:
Prenatal and postpartum anxiety, depression, OCD, and stress
Birth trauma and NICU stays
Rage, irritability, and intrusive thoughts
Miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss
Termination for medical reasons (TFMR) and pregnancy decision-making
Grief following a pregnancy loss
Fertility challenges and assisted reproductive technology
Challenges with infant feeding, bonding, and attachment
What to Expect:
Therapy begins with an intake appointment during which we will discuss your history, reasons for seeking support, goals, and any questions you have for me. After the intake, we will collaboratively develop an individualized treatment plan targeting your goals. From here, therapy sessions are typically held weekly, either in person or virtually, and last 50 minutes.
Fees and Insurance:
Initial Intake Session (75 mins): $295
Therapy Sessions (50 mins): $240
I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance companies directly. If your insurance plan includes out-of-network (OON) benefits, you may be able to receive significant reimbursement for our sessions. Upon request, I can provide you with a monthly superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
